William J. Loose

William John "Bill" Loose, 82 years, of North State Route 18, Clyde, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at his residence.
He was born July 10, 1926, in Thompson Township, Ohio, the son of Richard John and Frances Ellsworth Loose.
Bill had been a conductor for the former Nickel Plate Railroad and the Norfolk and Western Railway for over 30 years. He was a life member of Bellevue V.F.W. Post 1238, was a member of Bellevue Eagles Aerie 490 and Moose Lodge 238, and had served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946.
Survivors include his son, Terry L. (Barbara) Loose, of Clyde; a daughter, Penny A. (Arthur) Strong, of Needville, Texas; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Oct. 9, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen Seibel, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue, officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Cemetery, Flat Rock, Ohio, where military honors will be conducted by the Bellevue posts of the V.F.W. and American Legion.
