Genevieve J. Sullivan

WORTHINGTON, Ohio -- Genevieve J. Sullivan, 85, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at St. Ann's Hospital.

She was born Dec. 1, 1922, in Bellevue, Ohio, to the late Walter Edward and Mary Margaret Lopeman.

She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1942. Genevieve was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. She was an avid fan and enjoyed watching OSU Buckeye Football.

She is survived by a daughter, Maureen (Roger) Ross; an adopted son, Jeffrey Whipple; grandchildren, Brandon Patrick Ross and Makahla Lea Ross; a sister, Delanne Dubois; and her pet cat companion, Ace of Spades.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Patrick Sullivan, of Toledo, and her former husband, Patrick Sullivan, to whom she was married for 23 years.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 12, at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, one-half mile south of Rt. 270, where family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. There will be private family interment.
