Club Amer-Ital's Rib Cook-Off a success

Club Amer-Ital Boosters would like to thank all the people who attended the Rib Cook-Off on Sept. 20. Our first Rib Cook-Off was a major success.

I would also like to thank all the people who volunteered their time to help in anyway we needed them. Many people went above and beyond when it came to organizing, advertising the event, cooking, serving, and donations.

We would like to add a special thank-you to Ron and Neva Andres for providing our entertainment. The club president, trustees and bartenders did a wonderful job, and of course we cannot forget our fantastic chefs. We certainly could not have done the Rib Cook-Off without them.

We had 11 teams making ribs, and they all had a blast, not to mention they cooked some great tasting ribs. I especially would like to thank the teams for their patience with us in getting this event off the ground. We had a few bumps along the way, but all-in-all the Rib Cook-Off was a major hit with the members and the public.

Club Amer-Ital is really looking forward to next years Rib Cook-Off on Sept. 19, 2009, and we hope all of you will be there to support us.
