Employers need EHOVE graduates

To the editor:

I am writing to urge the voters to support the .5 mil Operating Renewal Levy for EHOVE Career Center. Passage of this levy will result in "No New Taxes." I am addressing this issue from two perspectives.

As a parent, I have had two daughters educated at EHOVE. My eldest daughter is now in college and benefiting from the education and experiences she gained at EHOVE. My youngest daughter is a senior and is pursuing a non-traditional career path for a young woman. She is encouraged to explore her potential and has discovered both the excitement of learning and the thrill of discovering new horizons.

As an employer, I have hired many graduates of EHOVE Career Center. I have found them to be well educated and motivated and anxious to become an integral part of business in their chosen profession. EHOVE graduates have the education and the training to become an immediate asset to any business or service profession. In today's competitive business climate, it behooves employers to hire people who are equipped with the education and skills necessary to participate with a minimum of further training.

Again, I urge the voters to support EHOVE and the educational and vocational opportunities they provide. Students and businesses need this worthwhile asset in our community. Vote yes for the .5 mil Operating Renewal Levy for EHOVE Career Center.
