St. Francis names winners of 2008 Bike Day categories

GREEN SPRINGS -- St. Francis Health Care Centre, a non-profit, catholic faith based, residential care community, would like to thank all of the supporters and sponsors of "Bike Day, 2008," which was held Sunday, Sept. 21.

To every volunteer who helped with this event -- it was because of your efforts and participation that makes these events special for those who are a part of the St. Francis Health Care Centre family -- our residents and patients.

A special thank you to the sponsors for this year's event -- Roeder Harley-Davidson, Schiets Motorsports, The Coast 100.9, The Wolf 92.1, Hart's Ambulette, Fremont Warthogs, Fremont Federal Credit Union, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, United Seating and Mobility, Stylecrest Products.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the patients and residents of St. Francis Health Care Centre.

The winner of the Holly Award went to Tabitha Thom.

Winners in other categories are as follows:

Custom -- First place, Steve Wright; second place, Troy Witt; and third place, Gary Freeze.

Touring -- First place, Tom Layten; second place, Marshall Crawford; and third place, Steve Braker.

Cruiser -- First place, Charles Maines; second place, Jeff Zartman; and third place, Todd Wagner.

Sport / Street -- First place, Kirk Hess; second place, Tabitha Thom; and third place, Efrain Moreno.

The mission of St. Francis Health Care Centre is to provide wholistic long-term care and rehabilitation services in a dignified, joyful and compassionate manner in the service of God's people.
