Dance classes begin at Community Ctr.
So you think you can dance? Would you like to try? Not sure which style to focus on? The Bellevue Recreation Department will be hosting dance classes led by Marie Mira.
Combo Class -- For boys and girls ages three to five years old. This class will consist of a mixture of many dance styles -- jazz, ballet, acro and others with a fun performance at the end of the session.
Classes will meet Tuesdays from 5:30-6:10 p.m.
Jazz/Ballet -- This class is a combination of basic jazz and ballet technique. In the ballet portion, students will learn balance and poise. For the Jazz portion they will learn leaps, turns and basic foot work, with a fun performance at the end of the session.
K-second grade will meet Tuesdays from 6:15-7 p.m.
Third-sixth grade will meet Thursdays from 5:30-6:15 p.m.
Tap -- Students will learn the basic footwork and technique of tap with a fun performance at the end of the session.
K-second grade will meet Tuesdays from 7-7:45 p.m.
Third-sixth grade will meet Thursdays from 6:15-7 p.m.
These classes will begin the week of Oct. 7 and run until the week of Dec. 2. There will no classes the week of Thanksgiving. The performance will be scheduled based on the availability of the majority of the participants.
Fee is $30 for members, per student per class; $40 for non-members, per student per class.
