MR. & MRS. RON VICKERY



Vickerys celebrate golden anniversary

Ron and Kay Vickery, Bellevue, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 31, 2008.

Mr. Vickery and the former Kazue Uno were married July 31, 1958, in Fukuoka, Japan.

They are parents of four children, Wanda Sanders, Ron Vickery, and Gary Vickery, who all reside in Bellevue. Their youngest son, David Vickery, lives in Keyport, N.J. They have three grandchildren, Whitney Sanders, Ashley Sanders and Theren Vickery.

Mr. Vickery served in the United States Navy for 20 years and retired in 1975. Following military service, he worked at Delphi for 22 years and retired in 1997. Mrs. Vickery worked at the former Bellevue General Electric Lamp Plant until the plant closed and then worked at Whirlpool Corporation until her retirement in 1997.

They enjoy watching and attending Buckeyes, Indians, Cavaliers, Browns and Redmen games. They enjoy spending their winters at their home in Arizona and taking care of their dog, Yoshie.

They celebrated their anniversary in New York City enjoying Broadway plays and relaxing in beautiful New Jersey shore resorts. They will also be celebrating their 50th anniversary traveling to Hawaii with family for two weeks in November. They will be meeting Mrs. Vickery's family from Japan while there.
