Consolos mark 50th with an open house

Mr. and Mrs. William Consolo, 123 Haensler St., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house to be celebrated Sunday, Oct. 12, in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 816 Monroe St., beginning at 1 p.m., and hosted by their children and Angela Leona, who was maid of honor at their wedding.

Mr. Consolo and the former Frances Ann Matarazzo were married Oct. 12, 1958, in Somerset, Mass., by Monsignor Leo Barry. They were attended by Chuck Siesel as best man; Angela Leona as maid of honor; bridesmaids Carol Sberna, Jo Ann Freni, Emily Matarazzo and Madeline Caporale; and ushers Bob Leona, Lou Giacoffe, Ron Wilson and Jim Wilson.

They are parents of six children, Bill Consolo, Toledo; Frank Consolo, Ravenna; and John Consolo, James Consolo, Michael Consolo, and Sam Consolo, all of Bellevue. They also have 18 grandchildren.

Mr. Consolo is a retired captain with the Bellevue Police Department. Mrs. Consolo is retired from the former Hart's Department Store.

The couple invite their friends, family and neighbors to join them at the open house. The omission of gifts is requested.
