Fliers' soccer players
earn conference recognition

The Sandusky Bay Conference recently announced their All-SBC girls and boys soccer teams. Neither Flier soccer team had a first team selection but both teams had numerous players on the other teams.
First Team All-SBC Boys Team - Goalkeeper Alex Trautman, Perkins, Defender - DJ Reau, Oak Harbor, Defender - Blake Toller, Port Clinton, Defender - Cory Wechter Huron, Defender - Ethan Lublow, Perkins, Mid-fielder Anthony Camella, Huron, Mid-fielder - Ben Kalis, Perkins, Mid-fielder - Brandon Wasserman, Oak Harbor, Mid-fielder - Matt Manly, Port Clinton, Attacker - Phil Weirich, Oak Harbor, Attacker - Max Beyer, Port Clinton, Attacker Sean Pisano. Perkins. Pisano was the SBC's Outstanding Performer for 2008.
Ethan Binger of the Fliers made the All-SBC Second Team as an attacker and Kyle Davis made All-SBC Second Team as a defender. Justin Fritz, Luke Salyer, Trenton Hermes, Dustin Leasock and Andrew Collins were all All-SBC Honorable Mention.
At the boy's soccer awards banquet Luke Salyer was honored as the Defensive MVP and Ethan Binger was honored as the Offensive MVP. Kyle Davis and Sahen Fultz received the Coaches Awards. Ethan Binger and Kyle Davis were Team Captains.
First Team All-SBC Girls Team - Addison Spriggs, Edison, Goalkeeper - Arielle Bowers, Margaretta Defender - Katie Lemon, Oak Harbor, Defender - Heidi Ebert, Perkins, Defender - Katie Zimmer, Huron, Defender - Gina Munafo, Huron, Mid-fielder, Alyssa Diefenthaler, Oak Harbor, Mid-fielder - Heather Johnson, Edison, Mid-fielder - Kaylee Weinhardt, Perkins, Mid-fielder - Sara Lipstraw, Oak Harbor, Attacker - Sarah Weaver, Margaretta, Attacker - Shanna Colvin, Perkins, Attacker. Lipstraw was the SBC Outstanding Performer for 2008.
Callan Harrington, Desiree Waugh, Tori Humbert, Taylor Rodriquez and Shelby Taylor were All-SBC Honorable Mention.
