Two local boys win punt sectional contest

Two local Clyde boys recently competed at the sectionals of the NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass and Kick contest, according to Beth Leal, parent of one of the winners.

Winning for the 8-to-9-year-old division was John Jackson, son of Josh and Jenifer Jackson. He had a total of 194 feet.

Winning for the 14-to-15-year-old division was Jose Leal Jr., son of Jose and Beth Leal, with a total of 351 feet. Both boys will move on to the State Championship on Sunday, Nov. 30, when the Cleveland Browns host the Indianapolis Colts at the Cleveland Browns Stadium.
