CHS golf team holds banquet, presents honors

The boy's golf banquet was held Oct. 15, at Pizza House.

Team members earned awards and letters.

Junior varsity team members receiving numerals were Levi Homler, Seth Boonie, Nick Hill, Don Lamb and Kole Hackenburg, will receive numerals. The JV team won the first Clyde JV Tournament with a score of 373.

Receiving first year varsity awards were Aaron Missler, Travis Finn and James Green. Second year varsity awards went to Zak Blodgett, Tyler Clouse, Josh Driscoll and Isaac DelGarbino.

Blodgett, Clouse and Driscoll all were named to Academic All-Ohio.

The coach reported that Carol Patten aided the team by collecting the money to help feed the team, gave two Medicus clubs to the team, and set up a potluck for team members and family.

Captain's Awards went to Zak Blodgett and Tyler Clouse for having the two highest grade point averages.

Othere awards were: Most greens in regulation to Josh Driscoll 3.5 percent, also honorable mention all SBC; most fairways hit went to James Green with 3.8 percent; and most valuable player went to Isaac DelGarbino, also honorable mention All-District.

At the end of the banquet the 50/50 winner was drawn with the golf team's share of $264 being donated to Tanner Hisey.
