The local Hardware is 129 years old. The Clyde Pro Hardware opened at 122 South Main St. in 1879 and then moved to 1012 E. McPherson Hwy. in 2003. It is currently owned and operated by Larry and Jackie Bower.

The store has a complete line of hardware, which features one of the area's largest bolt selections: Chrome, stainless, metric and grade eight.

The store offers Justin workware in sizes through 2x, Boss boots in sizes up to 15, as well as raincoats and pants in sizes up to 4x.

The hardware also sells Majic brand paints, Amsoil motor oil, Ben's Mustard and American Steel buildings.

The local store also provides services that include window and screen repair, key cutting and French Tex Dry Cleaning.

The Clyde Pro Hardware is also the home of Maplewood Gallery. The gallery has a variety of vendors displaying wares and offers antiques, crafts, collectibles, candles, jellies, maple syrup and jewelry.

Maplewood Gallery is home to Amish handmade baskets plus two full rooms of Amish furniture from Pleasant View Furniture of Dundee, Ohio.

Benchmark Prints of Fremont has a display of Clyde Fliers apparel and varsity jackets on the rack or by order.
