Homecoming sparks

Homecoming 2008 at Clyde High School will include the crowning of a new queen Friday night before the football game and fireworks during half-time.

The new Homecoming queen before the game against St. Mary's Central Catholic, Sandusky, at Bishop Stadium Friday night, according to Student Council advisor Diana Bilbrey.

The three senior girls vying for the Fall Homecoming crown this year are:

*Emily Dagg, 1184 CR 201, Fremont. She is the daughter of John and Toni Dagg.

*Sarah Prunty, 990 S. SR 19. She is the daughter of Scott and Trisha Prunty.

*Brooke Warner, Lynber Lane. She is the daughter of Todd and Justine Warner.

The attendants on the Homecoming Court are:

*Junior Lauren Meyer, 8801 N. Ohio 101, the daughter of Larry and Jennifer Meyer.

*Sophomore Elizabeth Elchert, 237 N. Church St., the daughter of Bill and Amy Elchert.

*Rachel Smetzler, South Main Street, the daughter of Jerry and Cathy Smetzler.

Homecoming week began Monday night with a bonfire and parade to Limerick Road Park. Bilbrey said there were also student events throughout the week. On Saturday, the Queen and her court will be recognized at the dance in the CHS gym 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.
