Valentine wedding held for couple

Merdelle and Elwell J. Oakleaf of Green Springs, and Carma and Robert L. McGuire of Bellevue would like to announce the recent marriage of their daughter, Kathleen to Joel S. Morris.

Morris is the son of Virginia and Clyde J. Morris of Sherrills Ford, N.C.

The couple were married on Feb. 14, 2008 in a Valentine's Day celebration at the Newton County Courthouse along with 22 other couples.

The Rev. Stuart Noell from Hickory United Methodist Church officiated the service.
