George A. Reedy

George A. Reedy, 82, Green Springs, died Sunday, July 13, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 3, 1925 in Bascom, the son of Henry and Edith (Hockman) Reedy. He married Ellen Mae Constantine on June 28, 1947.

He was a member of the Green Springs United Methodist Church and Stem Town Historical Society. He retired from JW Humbert Trucking Company in 1981.

Survivors include his children, Richard (Jan) Reedy of Platte City, Mo., Dennis (Tammy) Reedy of Fremont, George (Mary) Reedy of Piqua and Cindy (Bobby) Schell of Clyde; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Reedy of Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Katherine Felter; Glendora Keiffer and Mary Eishen; and brothers, Elmer, Floyd and Louis Reedy.

Visitation will be (today) Wednesday, July 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Green Springs.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Christine Tobergte officiating. Burial will be in the Green Springs Cemetery.
