Vera M. Kline

Vera M. Kline, 75, Clyde, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the Arbors at Clyde.

She was born Jan. 13, 1933 in Wyandot County, the daughter of Edward and Goldie (Swaney) Houdeshell. She married Robert Kline on Feb. 1, 1954, and he preceded her in death in May 1966.

She graduated from Sycamore High School in 1951 and had worked at the Clyde Library, retiring in 1998. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had taught Sunday School for numerous years.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Kline of Winter Park, Fla. and Gale Kline of Bellevue; a son, Steven (Betsy) Kline of Africa; a sister, Maggie (Max) Poston of Sycamore; and a brother, Donald (Mary) Haudeshell of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; a son, Rick Kline in 1982; and siblings, Marie Modzel and Ray Houdeshell.

Visitation will be Friday, July 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 12, at 10 a.m., the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Kovach officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
