Susan M. Vastag

Susan Michelle (Austin) Vastag, 46, Sandusky, died July 16, 2008.

She was born March 10, 1962, the daughter of Jerald A. Austin and Diane M. (Harriman) Lindsey.

She worked at Ryan's Steakhouse in Sandusky for over five years.

Survivors include her husband Marvin Vastag of Clyde; a daughter, Kara Vastag of Clyde; a son, Chad (Amanda) Gay of McComb; two grandchildren; her mother, Diane M. Lindsey of Sandusky; and brothers, Doug (Chris) Austin of Bellevue, Craig (Cheryl) Austin of Bellevue and Marc (Tina) Austin of Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerald A. Austin; step-father, Keith Lindsey; infant brother, Gregory.

Visitation was Monday, July 21, at the Groff Funeral Home in Sandusky.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 22, at 10 a.m., at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sandusky with Pastor Gerald Bauer officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Willard.
