Richard A. Brandal

Richard A. Brandal, 66, Bellevue, died Tuesday, July 08, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 31, 1941 in Sandusky County, the son of Ruth Brandal-Mowry. He married Joanne Alesch on Dec. 31, 1976.

He graduated from York High School in 1959 and had worked at the Ford Motor Co. in Sandusky, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Seybert United Methodist Church, Bellevue; the Bellevue Eagles; Local Union 1216, and the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. Formerly, he had been a part time Bellevue Police Officer.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne; his daughters, Veronica (Tim) Godfrey of Bellevue, Jodi Brandal of Fremont, Dawn (Bret) Miller of Sandusky, Susan (David) Hennard of Cincinnati, Andrea (Jim) Colvin of Bellevue and Teresa (Kevin) Shetzer of Clyde; sons, Brent (Jackie) Brandal of Huron and John (Kim) Moyer of Bellevue; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters, Roseann Missler of Wooster, Sharon Mowry of Bellevue and Sarah Strause of Bellevue.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Brandal-Mowry.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 10, 4 to to 8 p.m., at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 11, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Kent officiating. Burial will be in York Chapel Cemetery.
