Republican women to meet
Members and guests are welcome to attend the summer meeting of the Sandusky County Republican Women on July 7 at noon at the home of Kay Reiter. Members are encouraged to bring a salad and guests.
During the business meeting that will follow the salad buffet, decisions will be made to determine the financial donations to the local Republican candidates for their campaigns.
Reports will also be heard on the fundraising efforts underway including the sale of patriotic jewelry, presidential buttons and the Laura Bush limited edition tablecloth. These items are being offered at the monthly Farmer's Market being held in downtown Fremont on the third Saturday of each month through October. Upcoming events will also be discussed including the County Fair tent, the Fall Banquet and the Fall Conference of the Ohio Federation of Republican Women.
Two local members, Jean Turner, Gibsonburg and Donna Thatcher, Fremont recently attended the 70th Anniversary of the National Federation of Republican Women in Chicago and the Regional Conference in Burr Ridge, Illinois. Both women serve on the Ohio Federation board along with Peg Rettig from Clyde and also on the National Federation Board on the Women in Business and Caring for America committees.
Members are also reminded that we will participate in the July 4 parade with candidates and the local GOP.
Please call Thatcher at 419-332-3095 if there are any questions or Reiter at 419-332-3957 regarding the July meeting.
