Teen twirler

This week Clyde resident Jonathan Burkin will be back on TV - this time as the guest of TV Talk Show Host Bonnie Hunt.
Burkin also has returned to Los Angeles to be part of the "America's Got Talent" upcoming Las Vegas show, according to his mother, Denise Burkin, on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old baton twirler flew out Tuesday for Los Angeles to rehearse for an Oct. 17 performance at the Vegas MGM Grand. That show will include the Top 5 from "America's Got Talent" and several other selected acts from the season, Denise Burkin said.
While practicing in California for the Vegas performance, the Clyde teen also will be taping a spot for the Bonnie Hunt Show. That show is slated to air Thursday, Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. on Cleveland Channel TV 5 (on Time Warner Cable) and 1 p.m. on Toledo Channel WUPW TV 36/46.
Denise Burkin said the local support for her son has been wonderful. She also said her son has been invited to be a guest instructor Nov. 7 to 9 in Canada.
