Tennis season improves for Clyde

Just like the weather the Fliers tennis team has started to warm up.

After a slow start to the season the Fliers won two out of their last three matches losing only to undefeated Port Clinton.

On April 15, the Fliers topped Edison 4-1 but dropped a 4-1 match to PC on April 16. The Fliers rebounded nicely by shutting out Huron 5-0 on April 17.

Jon Hill and Eric Johnson collected singles wins against Edison while the doubles teams of Danny Michaels and Tommy Stein and Patrick Potts and Jeremy Hohenstein also collected wins.

Michaels and Stein were the only team to break through against PC and it wasn't easy as they scored a tough 6-7(6), 7-5, 6-3 win. Against Huron Everybody got in on the action as the Fliers pitched a shutout with Lucas Cooley, Hill and Johnson winning at singles and Michaels and Stein and Potts and Hohenstein winning at doubles.
