McPherson girls track racking up the trophies

The McPherson Middle School Girls' Track & Field team won a tri-meet on April 16. The Lady Fliers defeated Fremont St. Joe and Sandusky St. Mary's, 88 to 43 to 25.

Placing 1st for the girls were:

* Natalie Andrews Discus

* Logan Kiser in the Shot Put

* Rachael Smetzler, 100 & 200 Meter Dashes

* Patience Biggs in the Pole Vault

* Lana Adams in the Long Jump

* Hunter Dinan in the 200 Meter Hurdles

* Katie Lynch in the High Jump

* 4 X 100 Meter Relay Team of Katie Lynch, Lauren Baker, Courtney Selvey and Madie Harrington

* 4 X 200 Meter Relay Team of Lauren Baker, Ashleigh Lowe, Natasha Wood and Courtney Selvey

Placing 2nd for the girls were:

* Alesha McHugh in the Discus & Shot Put

* Amber Hall, 800 Meter Run

* Katie Lynch, 200 Meter Dash

* 4 X 400 Meter Relay Team of Hunter Dinan, Leah Webb, Amber Hall and Courtney Selvey

* Rachael Smetzler in the 400 Meter Dash

Placing 3rd for the girls were:

* Hunter Dinan ,100 M Hurdles

* Emily Ysasi in the Discus

* Natalie Andrews in the Shot Put

* Meisa Wheatley and Samantha Green in the Pole Vault

* Natasha Roth in the Long Jump

* Maddie Harrington, High Jump

Placing 4th for the girls were:

* Maddie Harrington in the 100 Meter Dash

* Lana Adams, 1600 Meter Run

* Sophie Vargas in the Shot Put

* Alicia Woodland in the 200 Meter Hurdles

* Sara Smith in the 800 Meter Run

* Ashleigh Lowe in the 200 Meter Dash

* Sarah Webb in the High Jump

On April 7, the Lady Fliers opened their season with a 63-51 lost to Tiffin Columbian.

*Maryah Schmitz, long jump
