Lady Fliers finish 4th at local Invite

The Lady Fliers scored a narrow victory over Margaretta on April 15, 76-61 in track and field action. On April 19 the Lady Fliers finished in fourth place at the A.W. Hendricks Invitational, which was won by Tiffin Columbian.
You can catch the Lady Fliers in track and field action on April 24 at Bellevue against the Redmen and St. Joseph Central Catholic or April 29 at Perkins High School.
Against Margaretta Jamie Hoppe won the 100 and 300 meter hurdles and ran on the winning 4x400 meter relay team. Lindsay Smetzler won the 100 and 400 meter dashes and also ran on the 4x400 relay team. Venla Vayrynen won the long jump. Brittany Lesher won the pole vault. Tesa Lozier won the 800 meter run and Bethany Aldrich won the 200 meter dash to round out the Lady Flier individual winners.
At the invitational, Smetzler won the 100 and 400 meter dashes and Ashley Alejandro won the 800 meter run. Hoppe finished second in both hurdle races.
