Garcia places

MEDINA - Nena Garcia, Clyde, a sophomore at Cumberland College, placed 8th in the 138.75 class when the University of the Cumberlands Wrestling team traveled to Las Vegas, the weekend of April 23 to 26 to compete at the ASICS U.S. National Championships.

Crockett participates

FINDLAY - Hollie Crockett, a senior early childhood education major, participated in The University of Findlay's Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity on April 15.

Crockett is a 2004 graduate of Clyde High School. Crockett is the daughter of Alicia and Robert Crockett, 133 E. Forest St. At the symposium, Crockett was named a Senior Scholar, which recognizes graduating seniors with a GPA of 3.6 or above. At UF, Crockett is a member of the concert band.

UC dean's list

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati has released the Dean's List for the winter quarter. Local residents listed were Adam Thurn, 1950 CR 264, and Katelyn Stein, 4676 CR 175.

Wiedle to attend CCAD

COLUMBUS - Jessica Wiedle, a senior at Clyde High School has received a President's Award scholarship to attend the Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD).

The merit scholarship was awarded as a result of an art portfolio competition held at the college, which was judged by a team of CCAD faculty members.

Wiedle will begin her studies this autumn and plans to major in illustration. She is the daughter of Dorthy Lutman, 4265 CR 175 and is a student of art instructor Doug McCauley.

Sickles to attend CCAD

COLUMBUS - Britanee Sickles, a senior at Clyde High Schoo,l has received a President's Award scholarship to attend the Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD).

Sickles will begin her studies this autumn and plans to major in fine arts. Sickles is the daughter of Julie (Guba) Sickles and Daniel Sickles, 4873 CR 175 and is a student of art instructor Doug McCauley.
