Young receives
scholarship
Clyde High School 2007 graduate Darcy Young received a $36,000 Presidential Scholarship from Heidelberg College. The scholarship is for $9,000 for four years, according to a release.
Young of Green Springs will be majoring in education, specifically foreign language instruction.
She currently attends the Paul Green School of Rock Music in Rocky River. She was recently selected as a "Headliner", which is the school's touring group.
Young as part of the Headliners will be competing in the Annual School of Rock Festival in Philadelphia, June 27 to 29. She is the featured vocalist for the group. She has performed at the House of Blues, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Plain Dealer Pavilion and other Cleveland venues.
Darcy Young is the daughter of Bill and Candace Young of Green Springs.
Davis graduates
TOLEDO - Clint J. Davis of Clyde has graduated from the Registered Nurse Program from Owens Community College.
Davis is the son of David and Linda Davis of Clyde.
Burkin to graduate
FINDLAY - Patrick Burkin, Clyde, will graduate during The University of Findlay's spring commencement on May 3, in the Koehler Center on campus.
Burkin is expected to receive a bachelor of science degree in marketing.
Burkin, a 2003 graduate of Clyde High School, is the son of Denise and Douglas Burkin, 1268 S. CR 260.
Conley to graduate
FINDLAY - James Conley, Clyde, will graduate during The University of Findlay's spring commencement on May 3, in the Koehler Center on campus.
Conley is expected to receive a bachelor of science degree in adolescent/young adult/life science education. Conley, a 2003 graduate of Clyde High School, is the son of Sheryl and Tom Conley, 125 Warnecke Dr.
Selvey on list
ATHENS - Kristi Selvey, Green Springs, has been named to the Ohio University's Dean's List for the fall quarter. Selvey is a senior majoring in hearing, speech and language science.
