School board OKs contracts for two principals

The contracts for two local school principals were continued another four years by the Clyde-Green Springs Exempted Village Board of Education on April 28.

Vine Street School principal Peggy Stickney and Clyde High School Principal William J. Webb both had their contracts renewed through 2012.

The board voted to accept the resignation of bus sriver Angela Knowles, effective April 7.

The board then approved employing through the end of the school year, Kimberly Prentice as a bus driver, effective April 28; Dennis Mosier as a homebound tutor, effective April 14; Kathy Black as a homebound tutor; and Todd Bilbrey as a substitute teacher.

The board also approved substitutes for classified positions through the end of the school year. They are Hattie Rife as a substitute secretary; Adam Herrera, and Anita Legg as a substitute bus drivers; Anna Robinson as a substitute custodian and substitute cafeteria helper; and Cristina Shafer as a substitute cafeteria helper.

The board also granted continuing contracts to the following staff members:

* Clyde High School: Ann Kauble

*McPherson Middle School: John Cahill and Matt Merrill.

One-year limited contracts were granted to the following staff members:

*CHS: Brent Borden, Melissa Detwiler, Kyle Harris, Heather Hunker, Brian Miller, Rick Moore, Eileen Reinhard, Dana St. Marie, and Scott Viers.

*MMS: Rachael Aldrich, Melissa Barrera, Katey Brown, Lucas Messer, Andrea Thiessen, and Shanna Wilson.

*Green Springs Elementary: Jennifer Adelsperger, Roger Glanemann, Janice Keller, Amy Kneisley, Sue Laremore and Cynthia Leibengood.

*South Main Elementary: Melissa Billow, Jeff Burkin, Mary Collins, Stephanie Miller, Aaron Mosier, Catherine Pawsey and Kim Williamsen.

*Vine Street Elementary: Kristine Badik, Stephanie Bannister, Rhonda Hoffman, Erin Mosier, and Jim Sholes.

The board of education approved accepting donations.

Three books were donated to the Green Springs LRC by Kayla and Paige Brown.

Two books were donated to the Vine Street LRC by the Vine Street School staff, in memory of Carole Widman.

A book was donated to the Vine Street LRC by Deb Kokai and Deb Newsom, in memory of Carole Widman.

MMS Boosters donated one set of Lincoln Library of Sports Champions to the MMS LRC.
