News Briefs: Tippin Tickets on sale

Aaron Tippin tickets are now on sale at the Clyde-Green Springs Exempted Village Board of Education office. The show will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Clyde High School auditorium.

All tickets are $40 each and all seats are reserved. The event is sponsored by the Communities for the Arts.

Mosquito spraying starts

GREEN SPRINGS - The Village of Green Springs will begin spraying for mosquitoes Thursday, May 8. Scheduled spraying evenings will then be Tuesdays and Thursdays with rain days of Wednesdays and Fridays, according to village clerk Dan Reese.

Spring concerts

The Clyde-Green Springs Exempted Village School district has a slate of five school concerts in May.

The following concerts begin at 7 p.m. at the Clyde High School auditorium.

*Tuesday, May 13, Sixth Grade Choir and Troubadors

*Thursday, May 15, CHS Jazz Band and Concert Band

*Tuesday, May 20, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Grade Concert Bands and Middle School Jazz Band

* Thursday, May 22, McPherson Middle School choirs.

The CHS Choir Pop Concert will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24 in the auditorium.

Music groups rate at state

The Clyde High School A Capella Choir and the CHS Concert Band each rated a "2" at the Ohio Music Education State Band & Chorus Contest on Saturday, May 3, according to band director Craig McKenzie.
