Ohio teen admits holding toddler who was given marijuana

NEWARK, Ohio (AP) -- Authorities say a teenager who held a toddler on her lap as her boyfriend gave the child marijuana has pleaded guilty to a felony count of corrupting another with drugs.

Prosecutors say a videotape shows 16-year-old Angel Dailey holding the child last year while 18-year-old Melvin Blevins put a marijuana pipe to the toddler's mouth at a home in Pataskala in central Ohio. Prosecutors say the 2-year-old later tested positive for marijuana and cocaine.

Authorities learned of the tape after a Columbus pawn shop found it in a camcorder.

Dailey said Blevins is the toddler's uncle.

She also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of endangering a child and will be sentenced by Licking County Juvenile Court Judge Robert Hoover after a psychological evaluation.
