Marjorie E. Meacham

Marjorie E. (Gilbertson) Bos Meacham, 98, Fostoria, formerly of Clyde, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Independence House in Fostoria.

She was born March 15, 1910 in Alpena, Mich., the daughter of Neil and Mable (Riley) Gilbertson. She married John Bos on Sept. 17, 1932 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1968. She married Marion Meacham on Jan. 29, 1972 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1983.

She graduated from Central High School in Bay City, Mich. in 1928 and worked at Michigan Bell. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clyde, the Samaritan Circle at the church, the Eastern Star, and formerly was a member of the Progress Club and the King's Daughters. She and her husband, John Bos, owned and operated the Bay City Nursery and the John Bos Nursery in Clyde prior to his death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands John Bos and Marion Meacham; and her step-mother, Gertrude (Campen) Gilbertson.

Private services were held Friday, April 18. Arrangements are being handled by the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St.
