Ellen Kauble

Ellen Kauble, 92, formerly of East Maple St., died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Arbors of Clyde.

She was born Dec. 28, 1915 in Bellevue, the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Lottie (Cuppelbarger) Walters. She married Allen Cleo Kauble and he preceded her in death in September 1973.

She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1932. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clyde where she had been a Deaconess at the church. For over 25 years, she worked at the formerly Clyde 5 and 10 Store.

Survivors include two daughters, Sue Tipping of Toledo and Sally (Don) Christian of Fremont, Calif.; and a son, Richard (Carolyn) Kauble of Clyde; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen Cleo Kauble; a sister, Hilda Bechler; and two brothers, Karl Walters and Arthur Walters.

Visitation was Sunday, April 20, at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St.

Funeral was Monday, April 21, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home with the Rev. David Gowen officiating. Burial was in McPherson Cemetery.
