Anna Mae V. Moses

Anna Mae Virginia Moses, 87, of Elmwood Nursing Facility in Green Springs, formerly of Fremont, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo.

She was born May 18, 1920 in Riley Township, the daughter of Robert and Louise (Hodgkinson) Schiets. She married Sherman B. Moses on Oct. 6, 1941, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2004.

She was a homemaker. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Julie (Richard) Loats of Carey, N.C., Jerry L. Sr. of Fremont, Marlene K. (Don) Brown of Clyde and John (Lisa) Moses of Fremont; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Margie Wheeler of Mount Clemens, Mich. and Lavina Schiets of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sherman; and siblings, Ilene Kerns, Eugene, Clayton, Melvin, Chester and Roy Schiets.

Visitation was Tuesday, May 6, at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont.

Funeral services will be (today) Wednesday, May 6, at 11:30 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Pifher officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Fremont.
