Letters to editor
This angel's
name is Greg
To the editor,
To the Good Samaritan named Greg:
To my guardian angel. Words cannot be given to describe your efforts on last Friday, (March 7).
As everyone who was in the area knows, the weather was miserable and deteriorating rapidly as I exited the Paw Patch Veterinary services at approximately 4 p.m.
Traffic was as normal, heavy on Route 20. In order to return home, I had to cross both westbound lanes to turn eastbound. While I had safely crossed the westbound lanes, I had to wait for traffic in order to turn eastbound.
It was at this time that I became lodged in snow, literally stuck in the median, with the rear section of my car exposed to the oncoming westbound traffic and the nose exposed to the eastbound traffic.
You braved the elements, shoveling me out and directing me when I could safely exit and turn back eastbound. Despite my repeated attempts to get your name so that I could send you a that you note at a minimum, you refused, identifying yourself only as Greg.
Greg, words cannot describe how much I appreciated your efforts on that day. Who knows how long I would have sat there, had you not seen me in distress and braved the elements and your safety to assist me.
Good deeds so often are not recognized. This is one that should be.

Musical was
wonderful
event
To the editor,
Writing a review on a program is not my favorite thing to do. However, there are times when you see a program that is outstanding and unforgettable, and definitely deserving of compliments.
Such was the situation when I went to see the musical comedy, "Anything Goes", which was so professionally presented by the Clyde-Green Springs High School music students on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon, March 14, 15 and 16.
I sat in total awe and disbelief as I extremely enjoyed seeing and hearing these highly talented young people, (both young men and young ladies) acting out this highly popular Broadway Show (by Cole Porter) for their avid audience of Clyde and Green Springs people.
Our wonderful new auditorium designed with it's flawless acoustics added an even more pleasurable possibility of presentation.
There were several outstanding young cast members who excelled in their vocal solos and character parts. To personally name them here would be unfair to the others in the cast. Everyone handled his or her character in a most professional fashion.
The accompanying music was beautifully handled by very highly talented musicians and was a necessary and enjoyable addition to the productions.
All in all, each cast member as well as the carious talented directors of the show should be highly congratulated on a wonderful musical comedy extremely well done!
