Exchange Club eyesfundraising ideas

April 24 found the members of Clyde Exchange Club meeting at Our Town's Brewin' for their regular dinner meeting. Discussion was held on the need for new fund-raising ideas and reservations were taken for the Spring Banquet to be held on May 22 at The Roadhouse in Sandusky.

Club members then traveled to The Eliza Ramsey Home to meet with Yvonne Matus The Bereavement Coordinator for Hospice of Memorial Hospital. Matus expressed thanks for the $1000 donation and also past support.

Since taking the position in October, Matus has been to almost every school in the area to help approximately 50 students deal with loss. The program called The Butterfly Patrol will soon hold sesssions at Eliza Ramsey in a newly decorated room upstairs. Matus announced The Dove Release will be held May 18, at Eliza Ramsey Home and Camp Fearless will be at The Fremont Recreation Center June 23 through 25, for ages five to 14.

The Clyde Exchange Club has conducted the grocery raffle to benefit Hospice for 12 years. Top sellers of tickets this year are Jeff Lemmon, Janis Wiedle, and Charlie Collins. The winners of the grocery prizes are Virginia Wilson $250, Inez Eakin $100 and $50 Karen Gerber.
