Frank Crockett and Dr. L.E. Robinson have been exchanging places of residence this week, the Doctor moving into the Main Street property purchased by him of Mr. Crockett, and the latter to the premises on East Forest also owned by Dr. Robinson.

Will Sellinger broke his leg during the Lambert fire.
A gang of men was busy setting poles for the phone line between Clyde and Vickery. Will Hess had the contract for the job.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hummel; and sons to Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Persing, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Ohler, Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Sampsel and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Babcock.
Elizabeth Burger died at the home of her sister, Mrs. George Eberhard, in Seneca County.
Mrs. J.H. Soden, 40, the mother of 10 children the youngest of whom was 14 days old, died at her home on Piety Hill.

1918
J.E. Baker of the North Ridge road had an experience happen to two horses in a 3-horse team, while harrowing, that has seldom occurred. The horses bit at one another and got their jaws locked together in such a way that it was almost impossible to separate them. A veterinary was called and treated the teeth wounds. The jaws of neither animal were broken.
Orrin G. Franks was killed while flying in the U.S. Aviation Corps at Wichita Field, Texas.
Mrs. F.L. Miller was called to Tiffin by the serious condition of her sister.
Sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Alton Drown and Mr. and Mrs. Matt Persing.

1928
Creditors of Clydesdale Motor Truck Co., which went into the hands of a receiver in Sept., 1925, received checks at approximately seven cents on the dollar. The Commerce Guardian Trust and Savings Co. of Toledo was the receiver.
Two farm houses, the nine-room Charles Streeter house and the William P. Foley home on Limerick at the end of Race St., were destroyed by fire.
Daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Erbin Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sayles and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jerrard; and a son to Mr. and Mrs. John Homan.

Lester Whiley sustained a broken left leg, near the ankle. He was on the ground, backing the tractor up to hitch it to the disc, when the frame of the tractor caught him between it and the disc.
Joseph Pocock opened his grocery and general store at Vickery in the new building he erected across the street from the Vickery postoffice.
Daughters were born to Dr. and Mrs. A.A. Maike, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rock and Mr. and Mrs. Eldron Layton; and a son to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Leggit, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Roberts and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Yeckley.

Three residents of the Colvin Rest Home at Galetown reached a wonderful old age. They were William Masonbrink, 93; William Neuschler, 94; and Wesley Burr, 87. All three had birthdays the first week of April.
Daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rine and Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Payne; and a son to Mr. and Mrs. Norman Weilnau.
Local deaths reported were: William Earl Walden, 26; Charles Beachel, 87; Elwood Earhart; and Leroy Metzger.

Charles Singleton, manager of The Clyde Theater, announced the theater would close on April 13 due to lack of patronage. The building was rented to the congregation of the local Deliverance Tabernacle.

Winfield "Bud" Turley attended the annual two-day Fire School at Bowling Green State University.
The first legal step for the extension of Woodland Ave. to Limerick Road was taken by Village Council when it passed a motion authorizing Village Manager Warren Curtis to write Sandusky County Commissioners asking their cooperation and participation in the proposed project.

The 50th anniversary of the dedication of St. Paul's Lutheran Church was held.
The dispatcher's window in the Clyde Police Department office was moved from the rear of the office to the lobby to make the dispatcher more accessible to the front entrance of the building.

1998
Mikyle Karr was seriously injured during a wild game feed at Whiteman's Grove. Children were swinging at the event and warned to discontinue their activities to avoid someone getting injured. A little while later, Karr's father heard a child scream, not knowing it was his own son. The boy's left femur bone was broken in two and required three surgeries and was confined to a spike body cast for 13 weeks.
Sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Jason Musser and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Garvin.

During the Clyde Council, members stressed that a new Code of Conduct policy adopted by the Clyde Recreation Board also applies to adult teams using park facilities. The council voted 5 to 0 to approve the park code of conduct. The policy also applies to adult teams as well.
On April 14, Sandusky County Habitat for Humanity will break ground on its newest project and it will be on Church Street. Local residents Karen Sawyer and Walt Frazier are co-chairpersons of the 2007 Habitat house project.
