Brazie, Buck are inducted into BGSU Phi Beta Kappa

BOWLING GREEN -- Seventy-seven students were inducted this spring into the Bowling Green State University chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's premier academic honor society.

Students from the area include:

Attica -- Stephanie Brazie is a junior majoring in actuarial science. She is a member of the Actuary Science Society, Kappa Mu Epsilon and Mortar Board senior honor society. She is a 2005 South Central High School graduate.

Bellevue -- Logan Buck, a senior philosophy major, is a 2001 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School.

The country's oldest and largest national honor society reflects a tradition of superior scholarship in the liberal arts and humanities dating back to the founding of the organization at the College of William and Mary in 1776.

Members are selected from a pool of candidates with the highest cumulative grade point averages in their academic divisions. They are elected for membership on the basis of their scholarly achievement and breadth of intellectual interest.
