Malia Gildenmeister marries

First United Methodist Church, Bellevue, provided the setting for the Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, marriage of Malia Ann Gildenmeister and Brice Edward Wolverton. The Rev. Doug Lewis, former church pastor, officiated the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Scott and Jill Gildenmeister, Ohio 269 North, Bellevue. Parents of the bridegroom are Jennette Chatlain, Mansfield, and Rick and Phyllis Wolverton, Columbus.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attended by Holly Slater, Columbus, as matron of honor. Brooke Sampsell, Columbus, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids included Cierra Gildenmeister, Bellevue, the bride's sister; Tessa Wolverton, Columbus, and Clara Wolverton, Boston, Mass., both sisters of the groom; Brittan Gildenmeister, Portland, Ore., a cousin of the bride; and Jessica Gilbert, New London.

Flower girl was Addison Miller, Dublin, cousin of the bride.

Ryan Gorman, Mansfield, was best man.

Ushers included Mitchell Gildenmeister, Matthew Gildenmeister and Michael Gildenmeister, Bellevue, all brothers of the bride; Spencer Wolverton, Bexley, the groom's brother; Matt Baer, Tampa, Fla., Ricky Cattaneo, Philadelphia, Pa., and Adam Faith, Chris Larsen, Andrew Goosman and Matt Garrison, all of Mansfield.

A reception was held at Lyman Harbor Compass Pointe Ballroom, Sandusky.

The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Culinary Vegetable Institute, Milan.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Manuel Antonia, Costa Rica. They are residing at 11725 Lake Ave., Apt. 3, Lakewood.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School and a 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University where she received a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in special education at Cleveland State University.

The groom graduated from Madison High School, Mansfield, in 2000, and from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science in 2005. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, and is employed by Huntington Bank, Cleveland.
