Ohio St. president's son-in-law dies in Pa.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio State University says the son-in-law of university President Gordon Gee (gee) has died.

Dr. Allan Moore was injured July 12 when a Vespa motor scooter he and his wife were riding collided with a sport utility vehicle in suburban Philadelphia.

The 31-year-old Danville, Va.-native had been in a coma since the crash. An Ohio State statement says he died at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Gee's 32-year-old daughter, Dr. Rebekah Gee, suffered a broken leg and head injuries in the crash. She was moved to Ohio State's medical center for rehabilitation Monday, but she and her father returned to Pennsylvania on Wednesday when Moore's condition worsened.

Ohio State says Gordon Gee had called Moore the "son he never had."
