The Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol cited Scott A. Shuker, 21, of 16782 Twp. Rd. 186, Bellevue, with failure to control on June 23 after he swerved to avoid an animal on St. Rt. 547, went off the left side of the road and side-swiped a guardrail and stopped in a creek. He was taken to The Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries.

Emily Kessler, 19, of Bellevue, was sentenced in Sandusky County Common Pleas Court last week to five years probation and 30 day sin the county jail on burglary and grand theft of a motor vehile charges. She was ordered to pay $2,500 in restitution to the victim.
According to court records, Kessler's indictment says she entered a home in the 300 block of Sandusky Co. Rd. 302 in Townsend Township on Aug. 19, 2007. She is also accused of taking a 2004 Ford Focus from the home.
