MILAN TWP. -- A semi driver was seriously injured in a three vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. 250 and Mason Rd.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol the crash occurred around 12:50 p.m. and was reported around 12:56 by a passerby who observed the crash scene.

Reports indicate Thomas L. Rusynyk of Monroeville is in stable condition at St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center in Toledo after being LifeFlighted from the scene.

According to troopers, Juliette Blinco, 58, of Lorain, was driving a 1996 Jeep Cherokee northbound on U.S. 250 and attempted to turn westbound onto Mason Road and turned into the path of Rusynyk, who was southbound on U.S. 250 in a 9400l semi-tractor and trailer. Rusynyk's truck hit Blinco, causing her Jeep to overturn and strike a Ford Explorer driven by Douglas Coletta, 52, of Norwalk.

Blinco sustained minor injuries, according to reports, while Coletta escaped any injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
