Fish and Loaves support appreciated

To the editor:

The Fish and Loaves board members want to express our deep appreciation to everyone who made the additional food distribution possible for the clients of Fish and Loaves.

During this past year, the members of the Bellevue Junior and Senior High School FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders) made a commitment to participate in the "Feed the Children" program and raised over $7,500 so they could purchase between $30-50,000 of food and goods. The food arrived on Wednesday, May 21. These youth worked with high energy and joy as they unloaded the truck and prepared everything for distribution.

We are also very grateful to many others who gave us assistance in several ways. Jessie, the truck driver, was a huge help as the truck was being unloaded. The BSA let us use their parking lot for the distribution site. In addition, we want to thank Jon Wynbissinger from Ace Hardware, Tom Felder for the use of his truck, Style Crest warehouse, and A. Shulman for the shrink wrap to help keep the boxes secure on the pallets. There were other Fish and Loaves volunteers present to help with the distribution. Thank you to all of you.

A gift of this magnitude is truly something to celebrate. To everyone who donated to this project of the FCCLA, thank you. To the teachers and parent helpers, thank you. To the FCCLA members, junior and senior high, you have literally taken a few "fish and loaves" and fed a multitude. God bless all of you. Thank you.
