There's still good people out there
To the editor:
A "Knight in Shining Armor"? Definitely! But in this case help came in a silver Dodge Ram.
Being stranded on a country road alone wasn't so scary when home was only a mile away. Extreme frustration was more the case. Whatever the mechanical problem was matters little when the car will not move forward.
Many strangers stopped to offer help. It was so refreshing to know that in a world filled with villainous people there are also many kindhearted ones.
To those who offered help to the stranded motorist on Seel Rd. on Tuesday evening June 10, "thank you, thank you, thank you."
To the young man in the Dodge Ram, a debt of gratitude. After struggling for over an hour to get my car one mile to home, you restored chivalry to mankind. This young man jumped from his truck and with the seeming strength of a super hero, pushed my car safely off St. Rt. 269 into a neighbor's driveway. Without even waiting to be compensated with a verbal or monetary reward, he ran back to his truck and drove away.
Awestruck was my feeling at that moment.
Please know that your kindness will not be forgotten.
A very grateful motorist,
Mary Andrews
