James and Debra Haar, 110 Parkview Place, are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Julia, to Christopher Lawhead, the son of Joe and Cheryl McDonald, Fort Mitchell, Ky., and James Lawhead, Cincinnati.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School, a 2003 graduate of Heidelberg College, where she earned her bachelor of science degree; and a 2005 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where she received a master of education degree. She works as a school psychologist for Oak Hill Local School District in Cincinnati.
Her fiancé is a 1994 graduate of Covington Holmes High School and a 2000 graduate of Northern Kentucky University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree. He is a chemist with Clean Harbors Environmental Service, Cincinnati.
The couple plan to wed July 5, 2008, in a 5:30 p.m. ceremony to be held in West Chester, Ohio.
