Garmans celebrate
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Garman, 11808 Knauss Rd., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on Saturday, May 10.
Mr. Garman and the former Theresa Fields were married May 7, 1948, by the Rev. Charles E. Derrick.
The couple are parents of three children, Deborah K. Houle, Clyde; Gary I. Garman, Mesa, Ariz.; and David E. Garman, Bellevue. They also have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Garman retired in May 1993 after serving 35 years as the CEO of Firelands Federal Credit Union, in Bellevue. Mrs. Garman is a homemaker and had been employed at the former Ruffing Department Store, in Bellevue.
The Garmans celebrated the occasion with a dinner at the Pioneer Mill Inn, Tiffin. In attendance, along with their children, were their grandchildren, Jacquie and Chris Wells, Amy and Todd DeWitt, Amber and Craig Jarrett and Aaron Garman and guest Gloria Rucker; and their great-grandchildren, Morgan and Dylan DeWitt and Madison and Mitchell Wells.
