Rick, Nila Censi celebrate golden anniversary May 17

Mr. and Mrs. Rick Censi, 344 E. Gardner St., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a special church service and family dinner on Saturday, May 17.

Mr. Censi and the former Nila Diehr were the first couple to be married in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fremont, exchanging their vows on May 17, 1958. The Rev. Leo Lehmkuhl officiated the high mass. Attending the couple were Pamela Benelein as maid of honor and Joe Mitchell as best man. Junior bridesmaids were Janet Scagnetti and Sandra Myslinski. Ushers were John Scagnetti and Edward Myslinski.

Rick and Nila have two children, Mark (Sherry Estep) Censi, who lives in North Carolina, and Kim Censi, at home. They have one grandchild, Nate Censi.

The couple has lived in Bellevue for the past 50 years. Mr. Censi was employed by Scagnetti Construction for over 20 years then worked for the Bellevue City Water Department, from where he is retired. Mrs. Censi, who worked a few years with Bellevue Public Schools, is a homemaker.

The couple will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family at a mass to be said in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue, and a dinner at Bay Harbor, in Sandusky.
