Couple renews vows
NORWALK -- Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Chris) Helman, of Norwalk, celebrated their 25th anniversary by renewing their wedding vows on Saturday, April 12, in Faith Memorial Church, Sandusky, with the Rev. Ken Hiser officiating.
The couple's three sons, Brad, Brice and Brandon, along with a future daughter-in-law, Katie McDaniel, escorted Mrs. Helman down the aisle. All three sons performed an instrumental song along with a piano solo by Brice Helman. The ceremony included the pouring of "unity sand" by all family members to demonstrate the individuals blending into one family.
A reception featured a three-tier wedding cake, created by a family friend, Robin Boesch, who incorporated the couple's original cake topper.
The Helmans were married April 16, 1983, in Bellevue. They have lived in Norwalk for the past 24 years where Mr. Helman has operated his business, Furniture Doctor Upholstering. Mrs. Helman has a background in dental assisting and volunteers in the Norwalk Public Schools. They are active in Faith Memorial Church.
