It took only 10 minutes for the Bellevue Board of Education to authorize nearly two dozen human resource adjustments for the school district when they met in special session late Wednesday afternoon in the board offices.
The meeting was convened to finalize changes in school district personnel and for the purpose of a closed executive session to discuss pending litigation and an employee evaluation.
Darrell Hykes, assistant superintendent, presented the list of personnel actions, which included accepting:
* The resignation of Ann Manner as special education secretary effective Aug. 21; she was named an administrative secretary, joining Lisa Foos and Evelyn Woodruff, at the regular August meeting.
* The resignation of Danielle Lea Osborne, substitute teacher, effective with the current school year, for personal reasons.
* The resignation of Kathleen Hillman, administrative assistant transportation, effective Aug. 21; she was named transportation supervisor at the August meeting.
* The hiring of Alana Sexton as high school study hall monitor, effective Aug. 25; and Kelly Frost, substitute cafeteria, effective for the current school year.
* The hiring of Ashlea Bache as substitute teacher, effective for the current school year; Bache has previously been hired as a half-day elementary music teacher. The new designation gives her full days.
* Certificated advancements due to additional coursework being completed for: Daniel Freitag, BA+12; Ellen Cramer, BA+24; Margot Glanemann, BA+24; Jamie Wright, BA+36; Mary James, BA+36; Carrie Sanchez, BA+36; Steve Hessler, BA+36; Jacqueline Buckner, BA+36; Cody Cramer, BA+36; Jacqueline Magers, MA; Ann Shrock-Keller, MA; Cynthia Franks, MA+12; Patricia Roth, MA+12.
* A correction of status for Michael Schlosser, intervention specialist at the high school, M+12/10 years, effective with the current school year; this is a correction from the Aug. 13 agenda.
* An unpaid leave of absence for Elizabeth Wiesler-Blair, bus aide, effective Sept. 15, as she is going on family medical leave.
Prior to the board adjourning into executive session, when no action was to be taken according to board President Dr. Ted Clark, the board was advised of the following upcoming meetings:
Fine arts committee, Monday, Sept. 8, at 3 p.m. in the high school;
Levy committee, Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 6 p.m. in the high school;
School facilities committee, Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 5 p.m. in the board offices, 125 North St.;
Finance committee, Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 9 a.m. in board offices; and
Regular September board meeting, Thursday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. in the high school.
