Cub Scouts invite area boys to Night-at-the-Woods

Cub Scouts Pack 204 Invites you to a sneak peek at the fun you can have by joining scouting. The Fall Round-up will give you the chance to experience the fun of Cub Scouting through their Night-at-the-Woods activities.

Boys in the first grade can become Tiger Scouts and begin the fun and learning experiences that scouting can provide. Pack 204 is offering you a chance to "jump-start" the fun and join scouting now before activities begin.

If you want to learn more about Cub Scouts and Pack 204 call Cubmaster Dennis Brandal at 419-483-8489.

The kick-off event will be an evening of activities and a chance to meet the other new scouts and the boys already enjoying Cub Scouting. The round-up will be at Hays Woods on Section Line Road 30 Friday, Sept. 5, at 5 p.m. Pack 204 will supply the main course for a cookout, and activities for the boys to enjoy.

There will be leaders available to answer any questions about scouting in general, and Pack 204 activities and opportunities.

There is no obligation to join scouting or Pack 204 in attending this event, just come and have a look. The older scouts and families will be camping overnight in the woods and earning some of their requirements for advancement.

Cub Scouts Pack 204 will conduct any business and sign-ups as you arrive. The meal will be promptly at 6 p.m. and you will be free to attend the Bellevue-Clyde football game on time, or you can spend the evening with the scouts.

Pack 204 is chartered by the Immaculate Conception Parish in Bellevue. There is no requirement to be a member of this church or attend Immaculate Conception School. The scouts will accept any boys in first through fifth grade to enter at their age-appropriate level. There are other local options for scouting opportunities if Pack 204 does not meet your specific needs.
